The Brief
As a leading Corporate Event Planner on the Gold Coast, Architects of Vibe was engaged to transform The Star Gold Coast ballroom for the annual Gold Coast SUNS Lunch.
One of the club's most anticipated events of the year, the lunch brings together players, sponsors, partners and supporters for an afternoon of connection, entertainment and celebration. The brief was to create an immersive event environment that reflected the SUNS brand while delivering a premium guest experience from the moment attendees entered the room.
Drawing inspiration from the club's iconic red and yellow colours, the concept needed to feel bold, energetic and unmistakably SUNS.
The Experience
Guests were welcomed into a space designed to celebrate the identity of the club at every touchpoint.
Custom drape installations transformed the ballroom, creating movement, depth and atmosphere throughout the venue. Suspended above the room, oversized illuminated yellow orb installations represented multiple "suns", bringing warmth, energy and a striking visual focal point to the experience.
To complement the softer elements, geometric LED structures were installed overhead, adding a contemporary edge and enhancing the room's entertainment and production moments. Combined with dynamic lighting, live entertainment and a custom illuminated DJ booth, the space evolved throughout the event, creating an immersive experience that felt both sophisticated and high energy.
