The Brief

Most gala events Brisbane has seen tend to follow a familiar formula. This one wasn’t meant to.

The client wanted an experience that felt fresh, visually engaging and elevated—without losing the functionality required for a large-scale awards night.

The challenge? Create a space that delivered real impact, while still flowing effortlessly for hundreds of guests moving through arrival, dining and entertainment.

The Creative Concept

Urban Oasis was all about creating a sense of escape—taking guests out of the expected and into something far more dynamic.

At the entrance, oversized illuminated lettering made an instant statement. It was big, confident and set the tone before guests even entered the room.

Inside, the transformation unfolded through layered design. Overhead, neon cubes and reflective silver spheres introduced movement and texture, drawing attention upward and giving the space a completely different energy.

A key feature was the custom geometric archway, acting as both a transition moment and a natural photo opportunity. It framed the guest journey while adding a strong architectural element to the experience.

At table level, illuminated cube centrepieces carried the theme through in a more refined way, subtle but effective in reinforcing the forward-thinking feel of the night.

The experience was finished with a bespoke media wall, designed to align with the Urban Oasis aesthetic while still delivering a clean, on-brand backdrop for guest moments.
